For customers

Is Orcus free to use?

Yes. There's no charge to download or use the app, and Orcus never adds anything to your price. You only pay the service provider for the job they do. Orcus earns from providers through a small per-lead fee — never a commission on what you pay.

How does the matching work?

You tell Orcus what you need in normal words. Our AI scopes the job (category, urgency, rough cost), then picks one verified provider near you based on rating, distance, and availability. If they decline or are busy, we try the next best match.

Can I choose a specific provider?

Yes. You can browse nearby providers in-app, view their work samples and ratings, and book directly. Orcus's curated match is just the default — you have full control.

Is my phone number shared with the provider?

Only after you confirm the booking. Before confirmation, all coordination happens through Orcus's in-app chat.

What if the job goes wrong?

Open in-app chat with the provider first. Before/after photos are tracked. If you can't resolve directly, email [email protected] — we mediate and issue refunds where applicable.

How do I pay?

Three options: cash to the provider, direct UPI to the provider, or online payment through Orcus. Whichever you choose, you pay only the provider's quoted price — Orcus takes no cut of it. (The provider separately pays Orcus a small per-lead fee, tracked in the app.)

Is the provider verified?

Yes. Every Orcus-verified worker has submitted a selfie + Aadhaar verification + work-sample photos that our team reviewed before activating their account. You'll see a verified badge on their profile.

For service providers

How do I join Orcus?

Install the Orcus Worker app from Play Store, sign up with your phone, complete the 5-step onboarding (selfie, Aadhaar photo, work samples, service area, rates). Our team reviews and approves within 24–48 hours.

How much does Orcus charge me?

A small fixed fee for each completed lead — not a percentage of the job. Your first few leads in each new category are free, and there's an optional daily pass for unlimited leads on busy days. We never charge for declined leads or jobs that don't happen, and we never take a commission on your earnings.

How do leads reach me?

Push notifications on your phone. Tap to accept, send a quote, or mark yourself busy — you have 60 seconds before we offer the lead to the next provider.

Can I set my own price?

Yes. Orcus shows the customer a fair price range based on your locality, but you set the final quote. Customer accepts or counters.

What if I'm busy?

Toggle yourself offline in the app and you'll stop getting leads. Toggle back online anytime.

How do I get paid?

Cash and direct UPI go straight to you (you owe Orcus only the small per-lead fee, tracked in your dues ledger — never a share of the job value). Online payments through Orcus are settled to your UPI/bank within 24 hours after the customer confirms job completion.
